Could it be true, and buyers and sellers are paralyzed by hysteria & fear because of the half truths being spewed out on to the American public? Is the mortgage/real estate market doomed? Are buyers destined to be renters into eternity? Are sellers trapped in their 2.7% interest rates they got during 2020 & 2021 and can never move? The media says "The real estate sky is falling!" It's the end of the road for buyers and sellers. And my response to all of that, "Don't buy the hype!"
Let's be objective and analyze the true facts. I have researched and compiled market data for you that examines the historical record as it pertains to mortgage interest rates. These are facts not opinion! We look at data from Fannie Mae, Mortgage Bankers Association, and the National Association of Realtors to forecast what their predictions of where they think mortgage interest rates will be the remainder of 2023 and on into 2024, and they are not predicting nor projecting "Gloom & Doom" like the media outlets.
